Polyglass APP (Atactic Polypropylene) modified asphalt roofing membranes are reinforced with polyester and/or fiberglass mat offering excellent tensile strength and dimensional stability. Polyglass APP membranes can be heat-welded or cold-applied and are compatible for direct application over an acceptable substrate or as part of a multi-ply system.
APP – Flexible in Hot Climate Temperatures
APP-modified bitumen is a “plastic asphalt,” differing from SBS-modified bitumen, which is an “elastic asphalt.”
Polyglass APP-modified bitumen is modified with plastic in the form of APP (atactic polypropylene polymer), which ensures that the membrane remains flexible even in hot climate temperatures.
